This guide explains how to add a new staff member, define their working details, provide system access, and manage their account in Zylu.
Overview
Staff Management in Zylu allows you to:

Add employees to the system

Assign roles and responsibilities
-
Define salary and working hours
-
Provide login access
-
Manage active and inactive staff
Completing this setup ensures smooth handling of bookings, billing, and daily operations.
Add Staff Details
- From the main menu, go to Manage

Click Staff Management
-
Click the ‘+’ (Add Staff) button
This opens the Add Staff screen, which contains two sections:

Details (basic information)
-
Compensation (salary and working schedule)
Under Details, enter:

Phone number (used for identification)
-
Staff name (full name)
-
Email address (must be unique and used for login)
-
Gender
-
Role (Owner / Manager / Employee)
These fields are mandatory.

Click Save and Continue to proceed to the Compensation section.
Add Compensation Details

Enter the Salary amount
-
Select Salary Type (Monthly or Yearly)
-
Enter Hours per day
-
Enter Days per week
-
Click Save
This completes the staff creation process. These details are used for payroll and reporting.
Send Invite to Staff

Go to Staff Management
-
Select the staff member
-
Click Invite to App
The staff member will receive an email invitation. They must:

Open the email
-
Click the invite link
-
Set their password
They can log in only after completing this step.
Edit Staff Details

Go to Manage → Staff Management
-
Select the staff member
- Click the three dots (⋮)

Click the Edit icon
-
Update the required details
-
Click Save
If the email address is changed, a new invite must be sent.
Deactivate Staff

Go to Staff Management
-
Locate the staff member
- Click the three dots (⋮)
-
Select Deactivate
Use this when a staff member leaves or should no longer have access. Deactivated staff cannot log in, but their historical data remains in the system.

Each staff member must have a unique email and phone number

Staff cannot access the system without accepting the invite

Ensure the email address entered is correct

Passwords should be set only by the account owner or the staff member
-
Do not share login credentials
-
If the owner role is changed to employee, it cannot be reverted
