Adding a New Inventory Receipt
A quick and easy guide to recording incoming stock in the Zylu system.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to add a new inventory receipt in the Zylu app. Keeping track of stock inflows is essential for efficient salon management. We’ll guide you through the process of recording new stock arrivals, updating quantities, and ensuring accurate inventory records. By the end of this guide, you’ll be able to seamlessly track every product you receive, helping you maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages.
Key Steps:Open the Zylu app and from the main menu, go to "Inventory".
Select "Receipts" from the "Inventory".
Click on the "Add New" button in the Receipts section.
Choose a vendor from the drop-down list or add a new vendor.
Enter the invoice number from the vendor's invoice.
Select the purchase date from the calendar.
Add products to the receipt from the inventory list.
Enter purchase details for each product: purchase price, quantity received, applicable tax, and expiry date if applicable.
Save the receipt by clicking on "Receive".
Notes:Ensure the invoice number matches the vendor's invoice for accurate record-keeping.
Double-check the purchase details entered for each product to avoid errors in inventory management.
If the price is tax-inclusive, remember to tick the "is tax-inclusive" checkbox.
Tips for Efficiency:Familiarize yourself with the inventory list to quickly select products for the receipt.
Keep track of expiry dates for products with limited shelf life to prevent inventory wastage.
Regularly review and update receipts to maintain accurate inventory records.
