How to Generate API Keys in Razorpay
Overview
To integrate Razorpay with Zylu and start accepting online payments, you need API Keys. These consist of:
Key ID – Public identifier for your account.
Key Secret – Private key used to authenticate requests.
You must generate these keys in your Razorpay Dashboard and enter them in Zylu’s payment configuration.
Requirements
Before generating Live Mode keys:
Your Razorpay account must be activated.
Your business website details must be submitted and verified in Razorpay.
You can generate Test Mode keys without website verification.
Steps to Generate API Keys
Log in to Razorpay Dashboard
Go to https://dashboard.razorpay.com and sign in with your credentials.Choose the Mode
Test Mode – For testing payment flow. Transactions in this mode are simulated and will not move real money.
Live Mode – For real transactions with customers.
Navigate to API Keys
Go to Account & Settings → Website and App Settings → API Keys.
Generate Key
Click Generate Key for the selected mode.
A pop-up will display:
Key ID
Key Secret (shown only once — copy and store securely).
Save Keys in Zylu
Copy the Key ID and Key Secret.
Paste them into Zylu’s Razorpay configuration fields.
Switching Between Test and Live Mode
Use Test Mode keys while setting up and testing your integration.
Once ready, switch to Live Mode in Razorpay, generate live keys, and update them in Zylu.
Regenerating API Keys
If you lose your keys or suspect they’re compromised:
Log in to the Razorpay Dashboard.
Select the mode (Test or Live) you want to regenerate keys for.
Go to Account & Settings → API Keys.
Click Generate New Key.
Choose whether to deactivate the old key immediately or after 24 hours.
Verify your identity with OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
