To use this feature, go to the Attendance section in the Zylu mobile app.
You will find the following options:
Used by staff to mark attendance using face recognition.
Used to register employee faces for AI attendance.
Displays a real-time view of the day’s check-ins and check-outs.
Allows the owner or permitted staff to manually add attendance. This is available on both mobile and web but is restricted by permissions.
Each staff member must be enrolled before using AI Attendance.
Go to the Attendance screen on the mobile app.
Tap Enroll Staff.
You will see a list of employees already added to the system.
If an employee is not listed, click here to learn how to add one.
Select the employee you want to enroll.
Tap Enroll My Face.
Capture five facial angles:
Front
Left
Right
Up
Down
Zylu does not store facial photos. Instead, we generate a secure facial token that cannot be converted back into an image. This ensures complete privacy and data security.
Once staff are enrolled, they can mark their attendance using face recognition.
Open the Attendance screen on the mobile app.
Tap Register.
Scan your face.
If successful, your check-in or check-out will be recorded automatically.
Ensure that Location Services are turned on.
Refresh your GPS if needed.
If the employee is too far from the workplace, the system will show a message:
"You are far from the workplace. Attendance can’t be marked."
Zylu uses geolocation to verify the staff's presence at the workplace during check-in and check-out.

In case AI attendance fails or someone forgets to check in, the attendance can be added manually.
This feature is available only to users with manual attendance permission. It can be accessed via both mobile and web.
Tap the plus (+) button in the Attendance section.
Select the staff member.
Choose the date.
Enter check-in and check-out times.
Check-out time can be added later if needed.
If the staff was absent, toggle the Is Absent switch.
Optionally, add a note explaining the absence or reason for manual entry.
No. AI Attendance is available only on the Zylu mobile app.
Yes. An active internet connection is required to process the face scan and record location data.
Ensure the following:
Good lighting conditions
Proper camera alignment
Full face is visible
You captured all five required angles during enrollment
You can also try re-enrolling the face if issues continue.
Yes. As long as the staff is enrolled, they can mark attendance from any mobile device using their face.
You can use another device for scanning, or the owner can add attendance manually if permitted.
To prevent proxy attendance. Zylu uses geolocation to verify the staff's physical presence near the workplace.
No. Attendance is restricted to predefined workplace geolocations.
Yes. If a staff member is facing issues with face recognition or needs to re-enroll for any reason, you can do it easily.
Go to Manage > Staff Management.
Select the employee you want to re-enroll.
Click on the Enrollment icon.
Delete the existing enrollment.
Tap Enroll My Face to capture the five required views again.
