Adding services correctly is essential to ensure smooth billing, online visibility, and operational efficiency. This article explains how to create and manage services in your Zylu account.
Go to Manage → Services in your Zylu software.
Tap the "+" button located at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
You’ll now see the Create Service screen.
Upload an image that clearly represents the service. This improves customer experience on the mini website and app.
Enter a clear and simple service name. Example: Haircut, Facial, Tattoo Lining.
Add a short description that explains the service to both staff and customers.
Click on Select Categories and tick all relevant checkboxes. These categories help group services and affect how they appear during billing and on your mini website. If no category is selected, the service will not be visible to customers.
Enter the full price for the service.
Optional. Enter if you want to offer a discounted price. This will override the full price during billing.
Choose the applicable tax rate configured in your store settings.
Enable this if the price already includes tax. If disabled, tax will be added on top during billing.
Specify how long the service takes in hours and minutes (e.g., 00:30 for 30 minutes).
Add an internal reference code if needed.
Enter the SAC (Service Accounting Code) if required for GST compliance.
Select the applicable gender: Male, Female, or Other. This helps in showing gender-specific pricing or services.
Check this if the price varies depending on customization (e.g., hair length, nail size). It will show the lowest price as a base.
Enable if this service can be delivered at the customer's location.
Mark this if it’s a frequently used service. It helps staff quickly find and bill it.
Enable if you do not want to show the price on invoices or the mini website.
Enabling this will highlight the service on the mini website and customer app.
This will remove the service from the mini website and app but keep it available for internal billing.
After filling all fields, click Save to create the service.
1. Can I edit a service after saving it?
Yes. Go to Manage → Services, click on the service you want to edit, make the necessary changes, and save.
2. What is the difference between 'Price' and 'Discount Price'?
'Price' is the actual service price. If a 'Discount Price' is entered, the customer will be billed the discounted amount instead.
3. What if I don't select a tax or SAC code?
You can still create the service, but for proper billing and compliance, it is recommended to configure both.
4. Is uploading an image necessary?
No, but it's strongly recommended. Services with images appear more professional on your mini website and app.
5. What happens if I don’t assign any category?
The service will not be visible on the mini website or customer app. Always assign one or more categories to ensure customer visibility.

Categories help in organizing services in billing screens and ensure they appear under the right section on the mini website.
7. What is the use of 'Starting Price'?
Use this when service pricing depends on factors like length, complexity, or material used. It helps set a clear expectation.
8. What is the 'Home Service' option for?
This indicates that the service can be provided at the customer’s location. Useful for salons, clinics, or tattoo artists offering home visits.
9. What does marking a service as 'Favorite' do?
It shows the service at the top during billing for quicker access by staff.
10. Where are services shown to customers?
Only services that are not hidden and have assigned categories will appear on the Zylu mini website and customer app.
