How to Take or Collect Pending Payments

This guide explains the different ways to collect pending payments in Zylu from the booking screen, customer details, and booking report.

From the Booking Screen

  1. Go to Bookings.

  2. Open the booking for which the payment is pending.

  3. If a payment is pending, you will see the Collect Pending Payment button.

  4. Click Collect Pending Payment.

  5. Choose a payment method and complete the transaction.


From the Customer Details Screen

  1. Go to Customers.

  2. Search for and select the customer.

  3. Scroll to the list of bookings.

  4. Click Pending Payments to view only the bookings with pending amounts.

  5. For the booking you want to settle, click the Collect Payment button.

  6. Select a payment method and finish the process.


From the Booking Report

  1. Go to Reports → Booking Report.

  2. In the Select Booking Type filter, choose Pending Payment.

  3. This will show all bookings with pending payments.

  4. Click on a booking to open it.

  5. Click Collect Payment.

  6. Choose a payment method and complete the transaction.


Notes

  • Wallet and Pay Later payment options are not available for collecting pending payments.

  • Always issue a receipt after collecting payments to maintain proper records.

Q: Can I collect partial pending payments?
A: Yes, you can collect the remaining amount as partial payment if the booking allows it.

Q: Why don’t I see the Collect Pending Payment button?
A: This button is only visible if there’s an actual pending payment for the booking.

Q: Can I use the customer’s wallet balance to settle pending payments?
A: No, wallet payments are not supported for pending payment collection.

Q: Can I mark a pending payment as paid without collecting money?
A: No, for proper tracking and accounting, the payment must be collected through an allowed payment method.
