How to Update Your Website Link on Your Google Business Page?

Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date Google Business Profile is essential for building customer trust and improving your online presence.
Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide to help you update your website link correctly:

Steps to Update Your Website on Google Business Profile:


Step 01: Go to Google Business Profile

Visit the official Google Business Profile website.

This is the platform where you can manage your business's presence across Google Search and Google Maps.              


Step 02: Sign in to Your Business Profile

Use your Google account credentials to sign in.
Important: Make sure you log in with the account that has ownership or management access to your business profile.

Step 03: Click on "Info" from the Left Menu

After signing in, you will see a dashboard with several options.
From the left-hand sidebar, click on “Info” — this section allows you to edit important business details like address, hours, services, and your website link.

Step 04: Edit the Website Section

Find the "Website" field in the Info section.
Next to it, you will see a pencil icon ✏️.
Click on this pencil icon to edit the website link.

Delete the existing link (if any) and paste your new link into the Website field (this is an example link):

Double-check to make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the link.

Step 06: Click “Apply” to Save Changes

After pasting the correct URL, click on the "Apply" button.
Your update will be submitted for review, and the new website link should appear live shortly after approval.

  • Changes may take a few minutes to a few hours to be visible on Google Search and Maps.

  • Always ensure that the link you are adding is live and correctly working.

  • You can also periodically check your business profile to ensure all other details (like business hours, services, etc.) are updated.
